What’s your word for 2017?

I need to write a book. Every moment is rich with inspiration, thoughts, ideas, emotions. I have 13 journals going at the same time. Thank Goddess for smart phones so I can record my voice or memo something in. I’m often wondering what I want to share with you all that will shift you, even if for a moment, into positivity, love, hope, and optimism. I’ll share with you what is alive in me and what shit I’m releasing so I can live a fulfilled and pleasurable life. After all, what matters most to me is navigating toward joy in everything I do. Where is your compass leading you?

Love or Fear: you only get to choose one

Love or Fear: you only get to choose one

The last two weeks have been ca-razy. Wednesday morning at 5am-ish, the day after the election, my partner Mark showed me his phone with the results. All I could say was “oh shit” and went back to sleep. That morning we were headed to the coast for a week long intimacy immersion and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Permission to Pamper: A LOVE You More Project

I have been asked to be part of a campaign covering my favorite topic: loving yourself. My friend, Selena Moffitt, runs the Love YOU More Project and it is a much needed cause to wake us up to who we are. We are powerful, magnificent, change-making, divinely human beings.

It was subtle at first but then I started reacting more and more as the week progressed. I began to feel triggered by different people who themselves were experiencing a variety of circumstances. It has hit me hard and it has felt really scary. Mostly I was afraid I would fall back into old patterns. (more…)

The only teacher you need to trust yourself

The only teacher you need to trust yourself

On your journey to knowing and trusting yourself, how will you know when you can? With all the work that you do on yourself, it sometimes feels like it’s endless. Endless self-awareness and an eternity of pain to go with it. Every time you think you know yourself, you have much more to learn. I love hiking. Every time I hike, I inevitably become frustrated, angry, despondent, and fatigued. “How much farther must I go?” runs through my mind. The moment I want to give up, I turn a corner and the summit is in sight. I keep going.

You all have to keep going. You have many wounds to heal and you need to see the summit to keep going. (more…)
